I remember England Brothers & especially the tubes:) Thx for this little trip down memory lane & sharing your journey from missed understanding to understanding & even a little affection. I grew up in Cummington & went to Wahconah High School in Dalton. Didn’t visit Pittsfield much & remember it being run down & abandoned:( My family moved there from NY since my father accepted a transfer within GE. We most definitely need to sit down and share more of our lives since they certainly cross several times:)
I’ve returned to Pittsfield often in the last 4-5 years since my dad moved back from the south. I really have fond memories of the whole area & thanks Jim for your work on the carousel! martie

For all the bad feelings, I also have a lot of fondness for the way this contest has brought so many artists together and created friendships too. If we had all just brought our work and then picked it up again, I don’t think that would be the case at all!

Maura, Thanks for documenting this. Very well put, I had a great time at the closing party. It was fun spending time with the artists there. Elanah, Dan and Grippo were so very gracious. Good luck on your show in July!
